Email me at [email protected]. I read everything, I answer most things, and corrections go to the top of the pile.

Three things I cannot do

I cannot sell you entry to the gorge. Nobody can, online — the fee is taken at the entrance, in person. I cannot change or cancel a tour booking either; that goes through GetYourGuide, using the confirmation email they sent you. And I cannot tell you whether the gorge will be open on a particular morning, because the operator closes it at short notice for safety and announces it on partnachklamm.de rather than here.

What I am glad to hear about

A price that has moved, a bus route that has changed, a tour listing that now says something different from what the entry page reports. Those are the pages that go stale fastest and I would rather hear it from you than find it in six months. Questions about planning a day are welcome too, though most of the answers are already on how to get there.

Where this is written from

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in the Wettersteingebirge, about 90 minutes south of Munich by train. The gorge itself is here: Partnachklamm on Google Maps, at the top of a track that starts at the Olympic ski stadium.

Frequently asked questions

Can you book the gorge for me?

No. The adult ticket is sold only at the hut at the entrance, on the day. This site earns from tour bookings, not from gorge entry, and it could not sell you the latter if it wanted to.

I booked a tour through your link and need to change it.

Contact GetYourGuide directly using your booking confirmation — they hold the booking, not me. Most tours in the catalogue offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure.

Something on the site is out of date.

Email me and I will check it against the operator or the listing and fix it. Prices, bus routes and what each tour says about the entry fee are the things that move.
