Lenggries tandem paragliding review

36 reviews, all five stars
- “five stars” Tim — one of 36
- “five stars” Gelbert — one of 36
- “five stars” Alejandra — one of 36
Thirty-six reviews without a single dissenter is the strongest unbroken record on this site. Take it for what it is: tandem flights are either cancelled for wind or they go well, so the ratings sort themselves into a five or a rebooking. The number to read here is the count, not the score.
It is not in this valley
Lenggries is a separate place with its own hill and its own weather. You cannot walk the Partnachklamm in the morning and fly at Lenggries in the afternoon without giving the day over to the drive. If you want height above Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the Zugspitze is the mountain that overlooks the gorge, and the summit day trip is how most people get up it.
What works
- 36 reviews and not one of them below five stars
- Ninety minutes, so it is a morning, not a day
- A pilot does the flying, so no experience is needed
- The largest clean record of any activity on this site
Worth knowing
- It is at Lenggries, not at Garmisch-Partenkirchen
- Nothing to do with the Partnach Gorge
- about two hundred euros a person for ninety minutes
- Wind cancels flights, and no operator can promise otherwise
If you are building a Bavarian week rather than a day, put the flying and the gorge on different days and in different places. The gorge asks for two hours and about ten euros; this asks for a drive and a forecast.
What the gorge itself involves, and why the walk in from the ski stadium is the part worth planning, is on how to get there. The operator warns that short-notice closures for safety are sometimes unavoidable, so check partnachklamm.de on the morning you travel.

Frequently asked questions
Is the paragliding near the Partnach Gorge?
No. It flies at Lenggries, in a different valley, and it has no connection to the Partnachklamm. The activities that are near the gorge are on what else to do.
Is 5.0 from 36 reviews reliable?
It is the largest unbroken run of five-star ratings on this site. Tandem flights either fly or are cancelled for wind, so the scores cluster. Compare the samples on the reviews hub.
Do I need experience?
No. It is a tandem flight with a pilot, which is why the reviews are about the pilot rather than the flying. Ninety minutes covers the briefing, the walk up and the flight.
